The Apple Watch: A moment to think forward (if you are willing to imagine what is possible)!

I've been waitingfor this moment. I've read the lukewarm reviews. To me…these people lackimagination, they lack vision! In order to be a futurist…you need to be willingto imagine what is possible, you need to be willing to take chances; you needto be willing to study something in order to help others better understand andprepare for its impact. That said, I will be getting up shortly before 3:01 amto be in a clear state of mind so I can pre-order the Apple Watch. I'm excitedto figure out what this new piece of technology will enable…what it willconstrain. I've dabbled enough with other forms of technology (the Spire beingone) to understand that the Apple Watch is iteration 1.0. I know there will bemoments of "aw" as well as "aw, $h!t!" I'm also aware thatit is because of people like me…people willing to endure these sort ofmoments…people willing to tinker with new technologies…and yes…people who havethe means to purchase such things…that will…over time…help define what theApple Watch will come to be. Sure, people don't need a smartwatch like this. However, an image of what is possible (with regards to wearable technologies)does not become clear if people aren't willing to see moments like this forwhat they are; an opportunity to…think forward!
