In an effort to find more calm in my life, I have been dabbling with the practice of Kinhin. Together with a great tune I found on iTunes, I embarked on what amounted to an 18 minute walk yesterday. At the end of the walk, I check my Spire app. To my amazement, it had tracked the 18 minutes as a calm streak. This has profound implications for my practice! It worked again this morning...combining a 9 minute sitting meditative session with another 18 minute walk...for a 27 minute calm streak. This experience is motivating me to seek out other moments in my day where I can slow my breathing down to the point of "calm." Stay tuned!
