It’s summer time. I am a newly retired educator with lots of time on my hands. I love technology and I made the decision a few years ago, when Apple opened the developer betas to anyone brave enough to download them to; take the beta plunge. The main reason I took the plunge was to “play around” with new features before the public had access to them. Yesterday, the second developer beta for Apple devices was released. I was hoping to start “playing around” with some of Apple Intelligence’s writing tools on my iPad Pro (3rd Generation) as it qualifies as one of the devices I own that can handle the “cognitive load.” That opportunity to play is going to have to wait a little while longer. I find the lack of any features related to Apple Intelligence in beta 2 an interesting statement on the state of Apple Intelligence. I’m no expert on beta releases but, to me, it feels like Apple would want those who download the developer beta to have the opportunity to “play around” with Apple Intelligence for a while, giving them time to provide Apple with feedback and concerns, before releasing it to the public. At this rate those who download the developer betas may have to wait until the middle of July before they can “play around” with Apple Intelligence.
