Last week I wrote about giving in to the Glow. In that post, I wrote about how, at the time, I was choosing to go case less out of shear love for the Ultramarine color of my new iPhone 16 Plus.

UPDATE: On a beautiful Fall afternoon, I went for a walk with my wife. We sat on the patio after the walk to further enjoy the day. As I sat back in my rocking chair, my then case less phone slipped out of my right, front pocket and fell to the ground. I thought I’d zipped up that pocket before the walk. I picked up the phone, checked the screen, no scratches. Whew. I felt the sides of the phone; just a few, minor nicks, one on the left and one on the right. My wife looked at me and asked, “So, are you going to get a case now?” I initially thought no. But then, after sitting there and thinking about it a bit more, decided that yes, I should get one. I got on the Apple Store and ordered the Ultramarine, Silicone Case with MagSafe. I scheduled to have it delivered to the house today. It just came, I just put it on, and here are my thoughts. Here is a pic of what it looks like front facing. I like the way the Ultramarine color provides a nice framing around the phone.

Here’s a pic of how it looks from behind. The Ultramarine color is a bit deeper in color than the actual phone but still; very nice to look at.

Here’s a pic of the back with my Apple Wallet on it. I still think it provides a nice juxtaposition to the Ultramarine.

The case it definitely grippier, adds a bit more weight but, all of the buttons work just fine and it’s protected, in my opinion, beautifully.
