Focus Modes and the Affirmations medium sized Widget

I've been listening to some interesting things that Federico Viticci has been doing with his Focus Modes and Widgets on both his iPhone and iPad Home Screens. This got me thinking about what, if any changes I could make to my current set up on my own iPhone XR. I'm really happy with the manner in which I am using Focus Modes and have written about it here on the blog. However, there always seems to be room to play around and experiment and Federico's willingness to share what he's doing gets me excited to try things myself that I wouldn't otherwise think about. The slight changes I've made are inspired by his much more complex experimentation.

I wrote about the Affirmations app and its impact on me a few weeks ago. After listening to Federico explain what he's been doing with his home screens I decided to add the Affirmations medium widget to a few more of my home screens that are triggered manually via Shortcuts (my Writing Focus Mode), or by location (my Work Focus Mode). I've placed the widget in the same position that it is found on my main home screen, which I do not have tied to a Focus Mode yet. I chose this particular widget/app to be consistent across these screens because of the way it helps me feel about myself. Having this widget "sharing" positive messages with me while I'm in these different Focus Modes is like having a good friend by my side.

Here are some pics of my different Focus Modes with the Affirmations medium widget prominently positioned at the top of my screens...

The first pic is of my main screen when I’m not in a Focus Mode. The second pic is what my screen looks like when I’m in my Writing Focus Mode. I’ve written previously about how I use my iPhone XR while in this mode…check it out if you’re interested. The last pic is what my screen looks like when I am in my Work Focus Mode.

I’m so glad that I found the Affirmations app and figured out a way to integrate it into the various Focus Modes I find myself in daily.
