Week Three with Theme System Journal...

Week Three with the Theme System Journal...This week I want to spend some time thinking about the Journal Pages section of the Theme System Journal. This is my third week using the journal. I still like it a lot but I found myself thinking more and more about the journal page section. Specifically I’m thinking about how location (for example...where I spend most of my day) might be constraining what goes in this section. Here’s a sample from this past week...It seems as though my mind cannot help but use the journal pages as a place to reflect on what happened while I was at work using the categories that the creator Myke Hurley is currently using in his own journal as my lens. Don’t get me wrong...I do not think this is necessarily a bad thing. As I have stated previously, I start with the daily themes section...reflecting on my day...then go to the journal pages to be more specific. I guess what I’m wondering is...is there a way to use the journal pages and NOT think about where you spend the majority of your day? Is there a way to use these pages on a more global level?Also...I’m thinking about changing the “Bad” category. This was something I pondered a few weeks ago when I got the journal. I’m going to experiment with “Rant” as its replacement. My reasoning being that I want the journal to be a space that on one hand, provides me the opportunity to think positively...with space to let off a little steam. “Rant” seems to be a category that will allow me that opportunity.
