Wireless CarPlay via the CarLink Adapter

As my summer comes to a close I find myself getting ready to spend more time in my car (going to work) as a new school year is about to begin. This realization reminded me of a quest I have been on, the quest to solve my wireless CarPlay dilemma. I love convenience of using Bluetooth when I jump into my car to listen to podcasts while keeping my iPhone in my pocket yet I yearn to have the full range of choices that are afforded to me when hardwiring into CarPlay, via a USB cable, to my 2017 VW GTI. Recently, I read a really interesting article by Zac Hall, on 9TO5Mac. In it, he details his experiences with the CarLink adapter. Before finishing the article, I’d already ordered the adapter from Amazon.
