Taking a break…
This has been a very challenging year for me professionally. I have been teaching in person since August for the first time since March of 2019 due to the pandemic. Throughout the pandemic I have continued to write and post to this blog. Writing and posting to this blog has given me a sense of purpose above and beyond what I am doing for my students each day in the classroom and as a result, I feel like things have gone very well on the blog…more so than at any time of its existence. I am humbled that so many of you have found my writing interesting. I owe a lot of that exposure to Federico Viticci and John Voorhees as they have elevated a lot of my writing through the MacStories Discord and weekly newsletter.
That said, I feel like I need to take some time to myself so this will be the last post I write until 2022. I have 5 days left to teach before going on a well deserved, 2 week Winter Break. I want to spend some time just relaxing with my wife. I want to spend some time writing just for me. Some of what I have planned to write might make its way to the blog in 2022 some of it will not. Regardless, I am very grateful to those of you who have read my posts this year. Writing is very important to me and this blog will continue to be a space for me to express what is going on in my life. I wish each of you the very best and I will see you all in 2022!!
