In which I write about the first 4 days of full remote learning 2020-2021.
In which I say “thank you for your service” to 3 things and contemplate how saying thanks will help bring forward joy in my teaching practice.
In which I reflect on the “teaching” from home experience I took part in prior to reopening schools this coming fall…which…turns out…is going to look a lot like the experience I just finished.
A few weeks into my summer break finds me still thinking about tweaks I can make to my “remote” teaching set up to ensure that I am ready, if and when we are told that we will be “teaching” from home again. The Panel Mini by Lume Cube is one such tweak, to my lighting situation, I’ve been experimenting with.
What will schools look like this fall? My state has just published a guidebook to help schools think about what reopening this fall could look like. This post covers my thinking and feelings about each of the 3 proposed plans.
